One of the most common questions we get asked about is how to get Cliniko's body charts working with Finger-Ink. Unfortunately, body charts are not supported by Finger-Ink as the communication channel between Cliniko & Finger-Ink doesn't support it.

To get around this drawback, here's what we recommend:

In your form, include an open-ended field followed by a body chart field.

Only the open-ended question will be presented to your patients, like this:

Once the form is completed, the patient's answer will flow through to the draft treatment note that gets created. The treatment note will also have the body chart question that was included in the treatment note template despite it not being asked of your patient.

At this point, you can discuss in more detail with your patient about their pain/symptoms and add a body chart in order to show exactly where the pain is. For example, instead of just "Right shoulder", you can show exactly where on the right shoulder the pain is.

It may not be the best solution, but it's the best we've got at this point 😅.  If you have any questions about this or anything else, get in touch!
