If you're interested in connecting splose to Finger-Ink, you'll first need an API key — it's like a password that lets Finger-Ink "talk" to your splose account. This article from splose explains how to generate one, but I'll go through the rough steps here too.

The very first step is to make sure you can generate API keys from your splose account. If you haven't done this before, you'll need to contact the splose team through the usual channels. Let them know you're wanting to integrate with Finger-Ink, and they'll give you access to generate API keys from your account.

Once you've been given access to generate API keys, click on your profile icon in the top right hand corner of the splose menu, and then on API keys:

Then, click the New API key button:

Finally, enter the maximum expiration date, a sensible description and click create:

Your API key will be shown in the next screen — you should copy it, and probably also save it securely in a password manager (like 1Password) before clicking close.

That's it! Once you've got your splose API key in your clipboard, you'll be able to use — for example to start a trial of Finger-Ink.
