Exiting Check-in on the iPad is very similar to exiting a Form on the iPad.

The exit button is located in the bottom left-hand corner of the Welcome screen during Check-in:

If you're past the Welcome screen, then you'll need to get back to the Welcome screen (using the back buttons) before exiting:

To ensure that patients don't exit out of Check-in, the Finger-Ink passcode you set within the app is required to exit.

If the passcode isn't entered within a few seconds, the iPad will exit the passcode screen, returning to the Check-in Welcome screen.
